PETER THOMPSON: What have you tried over the years to communicate through your music?
KEV CARMODY: Oh, I suppose a person’s humanity to another person would be one thing. But also the fact that, just in my lifetime, Peter, the acceleration of so-called progress and development, we’re almost out of control with it.
PETER THOMPSON: And that basic humanity is lost in that?
KEV CARMODY: It is lost in the fact that, you know, we’re not anchored to anything except the next consumer product. You know, our spirituality, to my way of thinking has gone out on this huge bungee cord that’s almost at breaking point. And in some instances, I’m damn sure it’s snapped.
